How do I set up two-factor authentication?

You can enhance the security of your Strike account with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), which requires a second verification method in addition to your usual login credentials. Strike supports 2FA via passkeys, external security keys, or an authenticator app.

Setting up passkeys or security keys:

To set up a passkey or security key, follow these steps:

  1. In your Strike app, go to Account, then Security
  2. Tap “Enable 2FA”
  3. Choose “Passkey or security key”
  4. Follow your device’s instructions to set up your passkey or insert your security key

Once set up, you can manage your keys by tapping “Manage passkeys” — allowing you to add, rename, or remove keys.

Setting up an authenticator app:

To set up an authenticator app, you need to download an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy, and then follow these steps:

  1. In your Strike app, go to Account, then Security
  2. Tap “Enable 2FA”
  3. Choose “Authenticator app”
  4. Scan the QR code or enter the setup key in your authenticator app
  5. Enter the generated 6-digit code in Strike to complete the process
  6. Save your recovery codes — they’re your backup if you lose access to your app

What happens after enabling 2FA?

Once 2FA is enabled:

  • Any time you log out, You'll be required to verify with your second factor every time you log back into Strike, including the Strike Dashboard
  • You can optionally enable 2FA for specific actions, such as updating account info or sending/withdrawing funds externally.

Learn more about managing your 2FA settings and protecting key actions.

Remember, never share your 2FA codes or recovery codes. Strike will never ask for these or your PIN. If you suspect unauthorized activity on your account, contact support@strike.me immediately.
